How to ensure your content is effective in 2024

Manifesting 2024 to be the year of really nailing down content and growing my business through social media 💫

There are soooo many pieces to content strategy that we don’t even think of behind the scenes! But let me tell ya, the influencers, CEOs, coaches, etc. that we see with TRUE success via social media are working a ton behind the scenes to make it happen.

So as business owners, with a million other things on our plates, how can we fully dive into content creation this year without it removing us too far from other important business related things?? Well, I’ve outlined some steps you can take to get started diving into all things content in 2024 that are manageable all while growing those social media accounts 👏🏼

Let’s dive in…

  1. Develop a content strategy
    a. I know this can feel overwhelming, but let me break it down for you! Decide how many times you are going to post on social media a week, what content type you are going to use, what platforms you are going to post on, etc. This will help you schedule out, batch content, and stay ahead of the game so it never has to feel overwhelming. Another great strategy to utilize so that you don’t run into monotonous content is to develop content pillars. This allows you to chose a different content pillar for each piece of content so that you have variation!
  2. Define and Align with your Audience!
    a. Check in with yourself and your content. First, who is your target audience? Second, is your content reflecting and attracting that target audience? If not, you are never going to be able to grow ❌ Provide VALUE to your audience so that they follow along and engage with your posts! This also makes you trustworthy to them and they are much more likely to invest in you!
  3. The nitty gritty
    a. You might be wondering what I mean by this so let me explain. This is the stuff that can often be overlooked or unnoticed but that can have a major effect on the performance of your content! First, your bio should ALWAYS and CLEARLY define what you do. This makes you searchable and relevant to your target audience. I recommend putting your title in the Headline of your bio with either further explanation, resources, or accredited experience featured below. Keep it short, sweet, and to the point. Secondly, have a CTA on every. single. post. This is so important in getting your audience to engage and interact with your posts which boosts your content to other pages! Lastly, utilize SEO in hashtags and keywords. Use trending hashtags in your captions and…I’ll let you in on a little secret 🤫 Hide keywords in your reels! Watch your engagement rates grow 👀
  4. Maybe social media just isn’t your thing
    a. I totallyyy get it! You run a business and have a million things on your mind at all times of the day, maybe posting that reel just isn’t top of mind and that’s okay!
